  • This memorial is for the Battle of the Falklands, 8th December, 1914. Nothing to do with the 1982 conflict, as referred to in the last two comments. There is a separate memorial for that. Services of remembrance are held at both......8th December ( Battle Day) for the former, and 14th June ( Liberation Day) for the latter, every year, without fail.
