International Monitoring System, infrasound monitoring site

Infrasound station IS22 is part of the International Monitoring System, a global network of facilities for detecting violations of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). The station's four array sites are equipped with microbarometers to detect long-wavelength sound waves originating from nuclear test explosions and other events such as volcanic eruptions. The array is triangular, with central element H1 and corner elements H2-H4.
