Former junction point for the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway, where the mainline split into the Buffalo and Rochester Branches. The junction was controlled by a still-standing but deactivated BR&P tower on the Southwest corner of the junction. Though the Buffalo Branch is no longer active, a small stub siding on the former right-of-way still exists off the Rochester mainline.
