Kadalaiyur is a beautiful calm village, having population around 50000, this village is a very good example for the communal integrity. Though almost more than 10 community peoples living together with friendly relation ship. Here there is a High school, namely SENGUNTHER HIGH SCHOOL , beside the one more middle school known as TDTA school. The Sengunther school have the ancient familiarity which is managed by Sengunther community trust, started in the year of our National Independence, i.e. 1947 as an Elementary school, and later become Middle school, and now become high school, which caters around ten surrounding hamlets pupil’s education. I had the opportunity to study in this school until my 8th std. where the eminent and ever remembrable teachers like Mr. V.Subbiah, Sahul Hamed, Mrs.Sivajothi, Mrs.Esther, Mrs.Mariammal, Mrs.Mariatheres, among those some of peoples nomore with us, I utilize this opportunity to tribute to them. The 16 days Selliveramman urchav and the 3 Sengunther streets Vandimalaichiamman kodai vizha during the months of September and April respectively every year celebrated grant manner. apart from this the regular X’mas, Deepavali & Pongal are the festivals celebrated grandly. Exchanging of Tiffin and snags prepared during the religious festivals from Christian door to Hindu door vise versa is a fascinating traditional culture will be the great example for religious and communal integrity of this village. Though this beautiful village is agriculture and Handloom weaving based, of late Handloom weaving and its related works such as dyeing factories, and the hand woven textiles selling points of weavers co-op societies are extinct, the newly emerged match factories are also takes major roll to cause the handloom weaving extinction. At present plenty of match factories are functioning in the village , we can say in other words those are lightening their house with basic unshortageous livelihood such as food, and wealth of village peoples, unlike two decades earlier when the people seldom suffers for their survival food even. Even then the development of village, in the view of emerging new hotels , shopping places, Cinema halls & market place are still lacking except a small bazaar. I am wondering that the Kadalaiyur village people are so brisk to work hard, concentrating on improvement of economy of village in turn our country by producing more by least fathering about the entertainment like cinema, I am not understanding the truth, perhaps because of the above fact only the established two different time cinema halls were closed, owing inadequate collection. Any have it is hope that it will improve much in near future. Jaihinth.
