Location where are the remnants of HMT Lancastria, sunk in June 1940 by german aircraft. This is one of the worst shipwreck in history. Live lost estimated 4000, including civilians. 2477 persons survived. Total persons on board at time of shipwreck is unknown, but it is suggested there could have been as many as 9000 persons on board.
