Ghana Secondary School( Ghanasco) (TAMALE)

this school is popularly called Ghanasco. it has a student population of about a thousand eight hundred.it is the second largest school in the region after Tamasco. and is one of the giants in academics in the municipality.it is if not the best but with the best second public school in the region. its areas are named in the smaller boxes on the map. the main buildings are the administration block, the old dinning hall, the new larger dinning hall/ jams hall, the sss 3 block, sss 2, the scince lab, the mosque, NkumahGbewaa house, Cabral/Gbanzaba house, Dakpema/purser house, indice 1/ indice2 house, annex 1/ annex 2 house, the headmaster's bungalow, the Ghanasco teachers bungalows and the sss 1 block. the Ghanasco dam is used by surrounsding communities including Kukou and Ghanacans themselves.

It is well known for its academic excellence and it sporting prowess (for which it is nicknamed "sports college").
