  • VVRI--(Vishveshwaranand Vedic Research Institute) is located here and is now affiliated to Punjab University.
  • it is a sanskrit department of punjab university establised at hoshiarpur. this is the great center of sanskrit study. many great sanskrit schalors have been taught and done great research work in sanskrit here and still lot of sanskrit schalors are still doing there research and sanskrit studt here. the institute has a great library of sanskrit also . we can say "this is the pride of punjab" beacuse it is the only research institute of punjab

  • I was S.S.P.Hoshiarpur from August1980 to June ~83.The Sadh Ashram libraryhouses a raest of the collection of books. The pity isthe facility has been highly under utilised.The learning of Sanskrit is being ignored by the people of this part of the country. Moreover, thepolitical govts. have been ignoring this.
