A large warehouse (still pictured in the current sat photo) was demolished in approx. 2008 and replaced by the the "Lifestyle Center" retail complex titled the Shops at West End; which opened in 2009. Anchored by a Rainbow grocery store and the Kerasotes 14 screen cinema, it includes a mix of restaurants and shops with both underground parking and a large structure.

One of the restaurant/pubs in the complex, "Coopers", is named after a famous Cooper Theatre that was located on part of the site before it closed in Jan. 1991 after a run of Dances with Wolves and was later demolished.
