This bridge spans Mores Creek near it's confluence with Lucky Peak Reservoir (formerly the Middle Fork of the Boise River. Depending on the fluctuating height of the reservoir water, the bridge sits high above the water surface, hence the name.

This bridge has been the scene of a crane falling off of it during maintenace operation, several drive over the cliff suicides, and over 100 elk caught (and died) in the partially frozen water below. Also, a stolen ATM machine was found by this author under the bridge during low water (thrown off). This area is in a major migration route for deer and elk, and particularly from December through April cars often hit deer in the miles just before and after the bridge.

The High Bridge provides road access to Robie Creek, Spring Shores Marina, Arrowrock Reservoir and the tiny mountain towns of Atlanta, Lowman, and Stanley. Idaho City, an old west town with plenty of history is also accessed via the ID-21 corridor.
