This megalith has fallen and just one stone is presently standing. According to experts, this stone, along with others along the "three kings" trail, resemble dolmenoid cists (stones raised over burial grounds by neolithic people). In time, the new settlers assumed that these were raised as platforms for resting the loads of the heads of weary travelers, and mistakenly called as dovornem (plural devornim). This particular stone (the rest fallen)is actually located on the strip, shir or zote of comunidade field named Dovorneazoty. In fact, the standing stone is much higher than the height of a lady standing next to it to be able to transfer the load from her head on to the stone platform.
All the sacred stones along the ancient trail should be protected as the heritage sites of the villages and as prehistoric symbols of the ancestors of the contiguous villages of Arossim, Cansaulim and Cuelim.
