  • This territory was taken, along with a few islands on the lower Danumber, by USSR from Romania, in 1949. The border was always on the Stari Stambul branch and not Musura. But USSR managed to take this Island, Dalerul Mare, Dalerul Mic, Turcul Mic, as well as the Serpent Island in the Black Sea, in order to get a stronger foothold on the Danube and more access to the Black Sea. Nothing surprisng, since the same policy was adopted with respect to Konigsberg (Kaliningrad), Finland, Kurile Islands (from Japan).
  • This island belongs to Ukraine and is called-limba. Correct, please!
  • Kuril islands were first settled by russians. Japs toke them, them we toke them back - very simple. Kenigsberg - this is war contribution. So, enough with those stupid examples.
  • The god-damn nazis didn't deserve even 1 square kilometer - their lands should've been transformed into other states. Unfortunately less than a half of German lands were given to victims of this most terrible crime in the history of the human species - Kaliningrad to Russia, other Prussian territories to Poland, etc. Almost all Germans supported Hitler, so I dislike the German nation as a whole. For what they did to the world, they deserve to lose not only Koenigsberg and the territories that were given to Poland, but everything. As a proud Slav, I believe that Germany should've been divided between Poland (the biggest portion), Czechia, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, etc. Germany (and Austria) were not punished properly after the war, which is really horrible and unfair. Of course this island belongs to Romania, but the communists stole it, together with Snake Island and the other islands mentioned by Draggon68. (The fact that I hate nazis doesn't mean that I like communism.) But on the other hand, I think that Romania hadn't lost that much, so it should just forget about these islands. Romania's behavior shows that it most likely got over this issue, which is the best option. The USSR stole a much bigger, inhabited territory - Moldova. I am Bulgarian, not Romanian, but if I was, I would really dream for unification of Romania and Moldova (without Transnistria, of course). And about the polygon - its westernmost portion mistakenly includes Romanian territory and another smaller Ukrainian island that seems to be nameless (switch to the OSM map and the Google Map/Hybrid view to understand what I mean). There is already another polygon, which is correct. This polygon shouldn't be deleted because there are 5 (now 6) comments, so it should be re-shaped to look like the other polygon, which should be deleted. If someone registered reads this, please consider making this, please :)
