It known as a great village in the Dist in production of Tobaco, Cotton, Paddy and other crops. Now Pamoline gardenrs are also growing in the area. The oldest temple is Uma ram Lingeswara Swamy and Subbarayudu, it was built in the 17th century by the un-known people of devotees. The Sasti the main Tirunallu was performed in the month Margasiram. One othe new temple was also build by the villagers i.e. Abhaya Anjaneyaswami temple. The Hanumadwratham was performed as a festival of the temple.
