Built in 1882 for NZ Loan and Mercantile as a warehouse. Designed by Dennison & Grant this building could hold 100,000 sacks of grain and was fitted with four grain lifts. The southern most part of the Harbor St facade displays stone quoins jutting into space for expansion of the building which never took place.
