Eastern Industries, Inc., Schoeneck Quarry in Lancaster County, is 3 miles north of Route 272, at 145 Schoeneck Rd., Stevens. Located between the cities of Reading and Lancaster, the quarry provides quality crushed stone and hi-cal (94% CaCO3) stone products throughout Lancaster, Berks, Lebanon, Lehigh and Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania and parts of southern and central New Jersey.

The quarry, which began operations in 1972 by Kurtz Brothers/Lancaster Lime and Stone Division, was purchased by Eastern Industries, Inc. in 1984. The hi-cal limestone and dolomite deposit is a Type ‘A’ stone, that is Penn DOT and New Jersey DOT approved, with New York DOT approval pending. The quarry produces a wide range of crushed stone products from ¼” anti-skid and screenings to various rip rap sizes for commercial, residential, private and public construction projects.
