Eastern Industries, Inc., Liverpool Quarry is located on Buffalo Mountain one mile south of Liverpool along State Routes 11 and 15 in Perry County. This facility markets crushed sandstone throughout lower Snyder, Juniata, Perry, and portions of Dauphin and Cumberland counties. As quarries go, Liverpool Quarry is the "new kid" on the block, having opened in November 1998.

Much like our Elizabethville Quarry, the high silica content of this aggregate makes it very abrasive and therefore desirable for asphalt pavement surfaces especially in high-volume traffic conditions. In addition, the low carbonate nature is ideal for landfill cover aggregate use, as well as other applications requiring non-reactive aggregate qualities. We added a sand washing plant in 2004, which enables us to produce a Type A concrete sand, along with a fine sand used to bed swimming pool liners and to dust in concrete pavers.
