Elizabethville Quarry and Hot Mixed Asphalt Plants

Eastern Industries, Inc., Elizabethville Quarry and Asphalt Plant are located one mile south of Elizabethville along State Route 225 in upper Dauphin County. This facility markets crushed sandstone and asphalt paving materials throughout northern Dauphin, southern Northumberland, and western Schuylkill counties.

Today, Elizabethville Quarry produces both dry processed and washed aggregates for the construction industry, and is a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation approved source. The high silica content of this aggregate makes it very abrasive and therefore desirable for asphalt pavement surfaces especially in high-volume traffic conditions. In addition, the low carbonate nature is ideal for landfill cover aggregate use, as well as other applications requiring non-reactive aggregate qualities.
