This club was established in the last part of nineteenth century by the British Planters as their transit point for their business discussion, entertainment, meetings etc Owners, managers and other high officials of the seven nearby tea garden clubs of Manu Valley, Longai valley, Juri valley, Dhalai valley, Balishira valley and Laskarpur and North Sylhet Planters Clubs use to come to Sylhet and meet in this station club till 1947. After that, some native planters took over the charge and responsibility to maintain and run the club.
