  • Connecting the great Jagannath Sagar with the Bagh Bhandar , Raju Street is a slightly curved road which houses some major landmarks of Jeypore. Nowhere else one finds so many temples in so small a place : Hanuman temple under a banyan tree with Mangala on the other side , Baidyanath temple , Ugratara temple , Panchanan temple are all clustered together. The open space in front of Panchanan temple is used for community functions. The other major landmarks are the fire station ,Municipal High School , Women's College and of course the famed ghodasala or the stable for the royal horses, now only a figment of history.
  • What has happened to this street in recent years ? Its charm has disappeared due to heavy vehicles passing through this narrow street.Very bad decision , to allow heavy vahicles on this road.
  • The Raju street of yore was a charming pathway and a decent locality of Jeypore town . This street has now become dusty, clumsy, cramped and dirty. So much for urban development.
