Dinosaur footprints can be found in the rock shelf just above the water level of the river (white area in river). Also, numerous brachiopods and other marine fossils can be found in the exposed limestone of the river bank. You don't have to look hard. The fossils are everywhere.

This is public land, so feel free to visit. Bring a rock hammer and take whatever fossils you want from the river bank, but please respect the dinosaur footprints and leave them be.

Access is by climbing down the wash at the NW corner of this area. You can also wade up the river from the crossing at the SE corner of this area. The river is only about 6-12" deep in most spots. It has a solid rock bed which is very slippery with algae in places, so be careful when wading through the river.
