The 1st Battalion of the 2nd Brigade currently operates out of the US Army National Guard Armory at 4171 Torrington Road, Laurens, SC. 1st Battalion meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month with formation at 9am. Area of responsibility consist of Laurens, Greenwood, and McCormick counties.

Greenwood is authorized 2 MP companies and McCormick is authorized 1 MP company (approximately 55 personnel per company). Laurens county is authorized 1 MP company and a headquarters company (approximately 110 personnel). While we do not have these numbers at the present time, a recruiting drive is currently underway.
