Sawyer is an unincorporated community in Carlton County, MN. It has an estimated population of 50. SAWYER, a railway station in Atkinson Township, was named by the officers of the Northern Pacific Railroad company; the station was first named Zebulon. The village, in section 4, had a post office, established in 1891, and a sawmill, a hotel, and a general store.
