Major motorway intersection. This junction is significant in that it is one of the highest in England and at one point has four levels on top of each other. It was one of the most complex engineering feats on the M25 London Orbital Project. Also, it is now known that the combination of concrete and steel can block out GPS, radio and mobile phone communications.

  • There are two other interchanges like this: the M25/M4, and the M4/M5 (Almondsbury Interchange). The latter is symmetrical with a four-level bridge, the other M25 one has lop-sided sliproads which are at four levels but don't cross over at the same place.
