  • Kullada is a beautiful place, In the east Maha Nadi (Great River) and after that Kaladhar Parbat (Mountain), In the west Byaghradevi Parbat. Kullada is the birth place of KabiSamrat (King of Literature) Upendra Bhanja. The name suggests Gada, means Castle. Mr.Upendra Bhanja is not only a good king he is poetry. People say he got bless from Maa (Mother) Bakdevi (Goddess of Word) (or some people say Bagdevi (Who comes with Tiger)). Whatsoever it is a beautiful place, nice environment, nice cooperative people and it is a Panchyat of SC/ST. The village gives more credit to its traditional value. Most people are Hindu religious and there are at lest 2/3 festival every month. The best month to enjoy is Margsira when people celebrate Laxmi Puja on every Thursday. The girls put Rangoli in front of door and house with a light which Hindu people believes that makes a welcome to Goddess Laxmi. Another good festival is Rathyatra (Cart Festival). People say when Bhanja Maharaja want to build a Jagarnath temple, he thought to copy Puri’s famous temple. So if you see the structure its more or like Puri Jagarnath temple like. Behind the Jagarnath temple Goddess Bagdevi temple situated. It is people’s believe that God Jagarnath, brother God Balabhadra and sister Goddess Subhdra want to make a visit to their mother’s cousin house which is around 1 kilometre away from main temple. So they go with a cart called Rath. Hindu also believe that as a Hindu every cast can enter to the temple and see the God and take bless of God. But those who don’t go they even can see out side and can ask God’s bless. Similarly thousands of festivals are celebrating in this place. I am proud to be a native of Kullada. Modern Kullada is a business hub of all near villages. Quit some people used to come to Hatta (market) every Monday but people felt like to develop their business and now days its like every day Hatta.

Here the people are very nice.They live together. They celebrate all festivals together. Lots of temples are there. They are quite updated about the outer world. Lot of persons after completing their studies are out of kullada for jobs. Thanks ....

  • Kullada is a holly place , a tourist place & its having a lot of good picnic spots. Maa Bagdevi Temple is very famous in Orissa. And its also famous for Car festival . Its a nice place to live. But now a days some peoples are breaking the peaceful environment .... So request to all the people please save our Kullada from them.
