archaeological site, interesting place
The site shows the existence of a group of people that lived there throughout the beaches and banks of sand and gravel of a small stream about 14.800 years ago.The site was discovered in late 1975. This contradicts the previously accepted "Clovis first" model which holds that settlement of the Americas began after 13,500 BP. The findings were initially dismissed by scientific community. In recent years the evidence has become more widely accepted in archaeological circles.
