  • The Talangama tank is in danger of being polluted with plans to build houses in the areas to the west which is now marsh and paddy land. Apparently, a real estate development company (Jat Holdings) has bought land to the west of the lake and plans to build houses there. It is a pity that the tank is not protected by these encroachments of the areas that provide water from the fiels around the tank. It is high time that the local enviromental authority take serious action to limit actions that threaten the well being of the Talangama Tank
