The former Saint Patrick's school is now the Saint Patrick's Club Building and home to the Near West Theater. Established in 1977 in an effort to help at risk youth, the program under the auspices of Saint Patrick's Church transformed into a community theater for youth and adults. Four quality, full-scale musical productions are produced every year.Plans are to build a new facility at West 67th Street and Detroit Avenue in the Gordon Square Arts District.
