Mountain Karandash (Pencil mountain)

Russia / Cheljabinsk / Magnitka /
 mountain, interesting place

The mountain is called so because in this territory in the XIX century small deposits of the graphite used at production of pencils and slate student's boards are found. Last century graphite called a pencil stone.
Mountain Karandash remembers how mother Earth began. At stones the life, the age, the generations. And izrandits as scientists defined, 4,2 billion years. Near this figure arises to become another - age of a planet Earth of 4,5 - 5 billions years. In the Urals (and not only here) isn't present breeds are more senior izrandit.
Izrandit - a stone dark, almost black, dense, heavy. Old. As if strange. From places of far and far times. And considerable depths. Because breed it is closer to a terrestrial cloak, instead of crust. In it, the newcomer of a dead planet - any organic chemistry. If who is lonely on this earth, izrandit. On the Mountain Karandash it where hangs the black rock where sticks out from a grass a black plate where lies in a scattering a black splinter. And all mountain, probably, made from izrandit.
The Mountain Karandash is low, a little more than 600 meters, but at its top, over the woods, among mountains you feel in the universe center. Around the far horizon is outlined by broken lines of ridges, corners of tops, the zigzags of the rocks which here and there have been washed away by friable clouds. What where? You will look to the east - Ridge Yurma, you will look to the west - the mountain Taratash, on South side, behind a trunk of an old larch, - Mountains Taganay, Kruglitsa, Otkliknoy crest, and the northern region - only hills. Below mountain blue - the woods, yellow candles of birches, ruddy spots of aspens, dark peaks of fir-trees. It is spacious, stately and silently.
In mountain vicinities we everywhere found traces of activity of a bear: bear notches on trees employees for definition of possession clumsy, a footpath trampled down the forest owner round top.
