Apremont Park in Springfield, Massachusetts sits across from the famous Hotel Kimball on Chestnut Street. Named for the Springfield-based 104th Infantry Regiment, the first American unit ever decorated by a foreign power. The 104th received France's Croix de Guerre for valor at Apremont during World War I.

A monument to the 104th Infantry Regiment is located in this charming, triangular park
