This one's even worse than Blooms Eddy. First it's misspelled.
The source name is copperas banks. It's a description of a mineral deposit.
"Copperas banks were observed by the early settlers, in the bank of Silver creek,
about two miles from its' mouth. These copperas banks are frequently met with
on the banks of Silver creek and Miller's fork, resulting from the pyrites of
iron in the black slate."
