Mountaineer Jogabyasa Bhoi from Kalahandi organized a hill climbing programme at M Rampur in the district on the occasion of Republic Day on Sunday in which over 120 college students took part.Students climbed the 1,000-ft high Kusumdei hill amidst a dense forest and rocky terrain in three hours flat. During the trekking, students learnt various tricks of jungle trekking and demonstrated mountaineering equipment and skills like seat harnessing, carabiner hook and figure of eight knot, which they picked up from Bhoi, who had scaled Mt Everest in May 2011.
