The old site of Rookery, re-named Wrightlands, was to have become Marlow Community Centre, but the plan fell through, and the large house was demolished sround the early 1960's. There survives the part of the out-buildings adjoining Spittle Street, and the grounds which are now a park

  • This is an open area of grass with some splendid trees, within the Conservation area of the town. Once, this is the site of a grand house called The Rookery, this is now a green oasis in the town. There are benches on the grass, with views of old yew trees, beeches and pines. This is a remarkably quiet garden, close to the bustle of the town centre, frequented by many birds and squirrels.
  • The yew trees used to from a path from the manor house to the church
