A fine Cambridge inn dating in part back to 1600. One side of the beer garden has a traditional galleried upper floor. The ceiling over the "RAF Bar" is covered with signatures of Second World War British and American air pilots.

On the second and third floors are accommodations for Corpus Christi College.

This is the place where Francis Crick announced on 28 February 1953 that he and James Watson had "discovered the secret of life" after they had come up with their proposal for the structure of DNA.
