2nd longest railway bridge in Bangladesh. Connects Kushtia (Khulna Region) with Pabna (Rajshahi Region) During pre-partition days ie., till 1947 this rail-bridge use to be the most vital link between South Bengal (Calcutta) and North Bengal/Assam. Heard many thrilling stories of crossing Padma in the dead of night by Darjeeling Mail, on way to Siliguri, from family elders.

  • In 1944 at my age 11 ,I crossed the bridge at very early morning .Even at this age I do not forget the vastness and beauty.
  • My father, now 82 years, was thrilled to see this location when I showed it to him few days back ! He recalled his childhood memories of crossing this bridge on the way to his ancestral village.
