Connects Kushtia (Khulna Region) with Pabna (Rajshahi Region)During pre-partition days ie., till 1947 this rail-bridge use to be the most vital link between SouthBengal (Calcutta) and NortBengal/Assam. Heard many thrilling stories of crossing Padma in the dead of night by Darjeeling Mail, on way to Siliguri, from family elders

In 1944 at my age 11 ,I crossed the bridge at very early morning .Even at this age I do not forget the vastness and beauty.

My father, now 82 years, was thrilled to see this location when I showed it to him few days back ! He recalled his childhood memories of crossing this bridge on the way to his ancestral village.
