Jenny Lind Lake was on a tributary of Ohio River in Clark County, Indiana
(Jenny Lind Run) and used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1950.

The earthen dam failed in March 1997 as a result of a precipitation event and
subsequent flooding of the Ohio River, causing the complete draining of the lake.
