Singapore Flyer (Republic of Singapore)

Singapore / Republic of Singapore / Raffles Avenue, 30
amusement ride, interesting place, ferris wheel

Reaching 42 stories high, the Flyer comprises a 150-metre diameter wheel, built over a three-story terminal building, giving it a total height of 165 metres. This exceeds The Star of Nanchang by 5 metres and the London Eye by 30 metres. Each of the 28 air-conditioned capsules are capable of holding 28 passengers, and a complete rotation of the wheel takes approximately 30 minutes.

The condensate from the capsule's air conditioning is emptied at the bottom of the wheel, when the capsule is at it's lowest position. The condensate is used for watering the "rain forest".
