library, interesting place
The city of Cleveland approved the building of this library branch in 1904, and it was built shortly thereafter. The Broadway branch library closed in 1988 due to declining use. Citizens to Bring Back Broadway protested the library closing with a sit-in. Today the library branch on Broadway Ave is located right next to the historic library branch building, inside the former Hruby Conservatory building.
