This is the most important place in Madurai city as well as history the reason being , This is supposed to be the original Thirupparankundram where Siddhas like Nakkeerar lived in caves and were doing penance to receive many boons from the lord almighty 'Shiva ' , This is also commonly called peacock garden because hundreds of peacocks live here , This area is protected area and declared as historically important
