warehouse, historical layer / disappeared object, cold storage warehouse

Seven-story concrete hulk built in the early 1930s. Originally the Federal Cold Storage building, it was acquired in 1980 by local fishmonger Robert Wholey who used it for his "New" Federal Cold Storage business and wholesale seafood business. Like so many other old warehouses in the Strip District, it will soon be converted into offices or residential lofts.
