Interlocking on the CSX Metropolitan Sub. Built in the 1970's as part of a short CTC segment between here and QN Tower as part of the Metrorail reconstruction. Complete crossover. Site of the 1994 Silver Spring train accident where a MARC commuter train hit the side of Amtrak's Capitol Limited crossing over ahead of it.
