The five story building was constructed in 1883 and was the home of exclusive clothing retailer Gidding`s until1962 when it merged with its next door neighbor Jenny Co., to become Gidding-Jenny. Gidding-Jenny closed in 1995. The building is presently occupied by discount retailer, TJ Maxx.
The most unique feature of the building is its ornate facade which was added in 1907. The facade is composed of colorful Rockwood tiles and decorations of flowers, fruit and faces.
