Sweden / Gavleborg / Bollnas /

This church was built in the period from 1832 to 1838, on a site where a church from the middle ages had stood previously. This is the largest village church in Sweden. The pulpit is remarkable, with wood carvings from 1772.
The runstone near the Järvsö church was erected around 1025-1050, and the inscription speaks of three generations.
The Old Rectory was built in 1731, near the base of the church tower.
It was used as a vicarage, until a new rectory was built in 1879. The Old Rectory was restored in 1973, and is now a vicarage museum.
