The Vision adopted for this unique 63 acre City owned park is :
"To preserve the unique rural landscape character of Terra Nova North West Quadrant Park while providing a balance between heritage, wildlife conservation, and recreational uses.”

Some of the features included in the plan are a Heritage District with 5 heritage houses and homesteads, creative interpretive features and public art, field lookout structure, farm centre with community gardens, old-field habitats, hedgerows, a daylighted slough, trails and boardwalks, and a waterfront lookout structure.
