Kavali is once name for these Bontha Rallu, dugged and carved like big bricks used to built number of Government Building in British Time. Most of such building have been declared as heritage homes. These stones are very strong and most of the house in and aroundf Kavali town are built on the basements made from these Rock Bricks. These mines are abandoned now, and they looks like some wonderful places that we found in foreign countries. As we are opting concrete now a days to build a house, these great rock bricks are limited to poor people to build their houses.
