  • No tourist Guide will take you to the Divar Islands. The reason being, its not on any itinerary of the tourism dept. But the best place to visit in Goa is Divar islands. You'll just love it here. The scenic view specially during the monsoons.

  • I lived here in Divar till year 2000 before moving to Panaji. Divar will always stay backward as long as mentality of people of Divar do not improve. They always opposed construction of Bridge which would have linked them to mainland of Old Goa and Ribandar ana Panaji which would have prosperity to our village.We have come to Panaji or other places for almost everything like children's education, emplyment,shopping, medical care etc. We can not move out or in from tihs island because of lack of road route during night and it always causes great inconvinience incase of emergency.   • If a bridge is built it will destroy the beauty of this place. Prosperity just brings the real estate looters that India is plagued with and all the other associated ills like corruption which is rife in Goa now. Would you want India to be a concrete mass ? That is the real emergency that India is in now.
