shirgaon is a village situated on the shores of arabian sea,mainly populated by Hindu Kshtriya (Pan Mali) muslims(minority) and bhandari tribe.it is also known for The fort located near the shore built by Chimaji appa a great warrior who had capture almost part of land from Vasai to Dhanu from Portugse and added it to maratha terriorty.the famous hazrat sayed kamlishah baba dargah,which is greatly admired by both the muslim and hindus alike.this village is slowly gaining popularity as a tourist place because of clear seas and long stretch of beach and greenry of coconut ,Banana plantation . the village folk here are mainly farmers but nowadays the youth are turning towards various job offered by the growing industries.Many youth had crossed now sevenseas and acquired good name & fame .
