  • In November the 8th, 1941, Japanese Soldiers Land on Pantai Sabak. The British and Indian army were not able to stop the invasion.
  • The Japanese soldiers started the invasion at 12.25pm local time (ie.2.15pm Tokyo time). The invasion came 1 hour and 10 minutes before the bombing of Pearl Habour, thus it was the very first challenge on the Alliance by the Japanese Soldiers in WW II.
  • This is a lesser known history, indeed, Japanese shot the first bullet here during WW II.
  • 3 warships (Awajisan Maru, Ayetosan Maru & Sakura Maru) carrying about 5000 Japanses soldier landed hare in 8 December 1941.
