  • I don't know whether this is called a message or not. Actually, why I typed here, because I got the facilites that is internet, I know English and I'm living around this airport area. I'm a very locally resident here. Who am I. I'm the grandson of "gemulah"(is the meaning for the word late[no longer alive]) Tuan Haji Musa and the son of Tuan Haji Sulaiman, the teacher pensioner(borrowed the term from "Pesara Guru") Anyway, lastly but not least,it's still fresh in my mind, when I was still a small kid, while cycling or strolling(Kelantanese dialect word is "menderat"[walking aimlessly / wander about])around airport area. At that time, during the 70's, We can cycle on the runaway, even myself racing healthily using my chopper bicycle on the runaway.Even Gemulah Tuan Haji Musa who works as a driver used to travel from Kampong Batu Enam(his house/also my [father's]house) to the TTC/MPKB/IPKB(at that time this place was referrerd to as College)by bicycle through cross the runaway, before he have to buy motorcycle after the enlargement and the extension of the runaway, due to his no longer can cross the runaway as a shortcut way to travel to his office everyday. Luckily, he will brought back from office packet drink or one hard-boiled egg if, he arrived home from work, for his two small daughters at that time(my Aunties)or even, I also getting the oppurtunity to eat the eggs or drink the "air kotak". Thanks for create this chance/golden oppurtunity in this Wikimapia website, Sultan Ismail Airport, Kota Bharu, for me, Zainuddin in sending his message. Last but not least. Anger may solve your problem, but the result of patience is overwhelming & Tiada yang pasti di dunia ini. Apa yang pasti yang ku rasa pasti ialah mati. Alhamdulillah([Good]Praises be to Allah).

  • Pak Do Omar, used to tell his very bitter sufferings, during Japanese Occupation, he had been asked by Japanese army, to drink soap water[" air sabun"], and afterwards, his stomach will be stepped on, by the Japanese,....He said the pain was unbearable...[terlalu menyeksakan]
  • I heard a Television news that said this Sultan Ismail Petra Airport will be included in the 11th Malaysian PLan that mentioned about it's upgrading to the International level. In the news also mentioned, after the expandation of the runaway, might be the pilgrims from Kelantan can depart from this airport and directly arrives in Saudi Arabia, without using airport from KLIA, likes now.
  • asni, this is another story during Japanese occupation, which you might like to listen to. Before that, are you used to watch the old movies of Allahyarham Tan Sri P.Ramlee, especially the story of Laksamana Do Re Me, in the episode of using flying mat. My father told me that, the song they(Do, Re, and Me), were singing while flying the mat, was the song that the Japanese army asked the Malays to sing. My father said, he can sing the song until the right moment.
  • I heard a story from an elderly that, he still remembers that the Japanese whenever they want to drink coconut juice, they will ask any Malay, included him, whom cannot climb the coconut tree. If we don't climb or very slow, they will pierce his buttocks with bayonet until him get bled. So you can imagine how terrible the pain that they will bear.
  • Kg. Gong Tengah Bt.6 , is nearby to Kg Jirat China( or the Chinese Cemetary )
