Okhla Barrage & Road Bridge (Delhi)

  This barrage holds water in a large area throughout the year and attracts lot of water birds from various parts of the world including extreme North of the Globe e.g. Siberia etc. Okhla Bird Sanctuary is adjacent to this huge water body. An irrigation canal is also starting from this barrage to cater the agricultural etc. requirement Western Uttar Pradesh etc. Water from Hindon River flowing in the east of Yamuna River is also being added via a canal (Hindon Canal) to this reservoir.
