Completed in 1929, It was once a gymnasium for physical education, a swimming pool, and a bowling alley. Today, it is a fully-renovated facility for the FSU Dance Department.
Named after dedicated faculty member of the Florida State College for Women Katherine W. Montgomery, called "Miss Katie" by her students, who taught physical education at this very building.
Since the 2004 renovation, the building has been known as "Montgomery Hall."
