Naples is a small community within the city limits of Long Beach, CA. It is an actual island in the middle of Alamitos Bay which was fashioned after Venice, Italy, with canals, bridges and gondolas circling around and running through it. When the original builders learned that there was already a Venice, CA, they decided to name the neighborhood Naples instead. The streets are extremely small - in most places there is room for only one vehicle at a time to pass - and the homes range from fixer-uppers to multimillion dollar mansions. Small shops and restaurants line the main street, which is a route for people of downtown Long Beach to access the lower coastal cities in So Cal.

Perhaps in the 60s there were still fixer uppers but Naples has changed dramatically since then. Any "fixer-upper" on Naples would probably be on the market for a half a million plus.
